Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in outpatient settings and a strong background in addiction counseling, behavioral health, and psychotherapy. This role involves providing support to individuals and families, facilitating group therapy sessions, and conducting individual counseling to promote mental health and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Utilize medical terminology and coding practices, including ICD-9, to document client progress accurately.
• Engage in clinical research to enhance treatment methodologies and improve client outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with confidentiality regulations.
• Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system and connect them with additional resources as necessary.

Skills

• Proficient in outpatient care practices and addiction counseling techniques.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health.
• Experience with clinical research methodologies is a plus.
• Familiarity with coding practices, particularly ICD-9, for documentation purposes.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on empathy and active listening.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and reporting.
