Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute (MTMHI) is seeking a Psychologist to provide expert mental health services, including evaluation, diagnosis, therapy, and consultation.
The psychologist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, developing and implementing treatment plans to support individuals with behavioral and mental health
needs. This role also involves supervising staff, conducting psychological assessments, and
ensuring compliance with state and federal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive mental health treatment plans, including evaluations, therapy, and crisis intervention.
- Conduct psychological assessments, administer tests, and analyze behavioral data to inform diagnosis and treatment.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy to improve mental and behavioral health outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor clinical staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and ethical guidelines.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical documentation to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Testify as an expert witness when needed and provide psychological consultation to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed clinical notes and records in accordance with professional standards.
- Stay up to date with the latest research, evidence-based practices, and continuing education in psychology.
Qualifications:
- Education: Doctorate in Psychology from an accredited university.
- Licensure: Must hold or obtain a temporary permit as a psychologist in Tennessee at the time of employment, with full licensure required by the end of the probationary period.
- Experience in therapy, psychological evaluation, and clinical supervision preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
