Due to a high volume of referrals, we are actively seeking to expand our team with a therapist who has a strong passion and experience in working with couples.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a licensed Mental Health Therapist who specializes in child and family therapy to join our team as a 1099 independent contractor. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is dependable, highly independent, and confident in providing developmentally appropriate, effective support to children and their families. Preference will be given to those with evening and/or weekend availability to meet current client demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional, ethical, and compassionate therapy with a focus on children, adolescents, and families.
- Address a wide range of presenting concerns, including behavioral challenges, anxiety, emotional regulation, parent-child conflict, trauma, and family transitions.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Play Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), TF-CBT, and other developmentally informed approaches.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with caregivers and families to support treatment goals and long-term success.
- Engage with the team as needed while maintaining a strong ability to work independently.
- Provide excellent customer support to clients and families as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Fully licensed in the state of Kentucky (LPCC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent) strongly preferred; associate-level licenses (LPCA, MFT) will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with demonstrated expertise in working with children and families.
- Specialized training or certification in child or family-focused modalities (e.g., Play Therapy, PCIT, TF-CBT) is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to ethical, culturally sensitive care.
- Ability to manage a flexible, self-directed schedule.
- Weekend and/or evening availability is strongly preferred to accommodate current client needs.
Compensation:
- Highly competitive session rates: $90.00 – $130.00 per hour, based on experience and credentials.
- Choose your own hours with flexibility to build the caseload you desire. Preference will be given to those with evening and/or weekend availability to meet current demands.

Expected Availability: 20–30 per week
Location: In-person sessions at our office in Prospect, KY with the option for virtual sessions as requested by clients.
