Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families, focusing on mental health challenges and relationship dynamics. This role requires a strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Utilize techniques such as motivational interviewing and crisis management to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
- Implement behavior management strategies and applied behavior analysis when working with clients on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with ICD-9 coding standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in therapy and mental health.
Experience
- A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
- Valid LMFT license in the state of practice.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred.
- Familiarity with crisis management techniques and patient care strategies is essential.
- Previous experience in therapy settings involving individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective client interaction.
