These individuals may exhibit challenging behaviors and are in need of support in reducing and managing them.

BTs operate under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and receive additional guidance from a Behavior Analyst (BA). They are responsible for implementing Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and behavior intervention strategies developed by the BA and approved by the BCBA.

Services are delivered across various environments, including the client’s home, day program, and other community settings, with the goal of supporting the client’s physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

  • Provide high-quality instruction and behavioral support to caregivers and staff of adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, physical aggression, and/or other related developmental disabilities

  • Model the correct implementation of BSPs and behavioral strategies for families and staff.

  • Train families and/or staff in the application of BSPs and recommended interventions.

  • Monitor and assess implementation fidelity of BSPs by families, staff, and caregivers.

  • Track and record behavioral data gathered during sessions and from family/staff reports using ReThink.

  • Develop and prepare support materials necessary for the implementation of BSPs.

  • Conduct routine visits to the client’s home, day program, or community settings to provide services and monitor progress.

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of behavior analysis principles in all interactions.

  • Exhibit empathy, compassion, and professionalism in interactions with clients and their families.
