Job Description

Mountain State ABA is a locally-owned company that provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to children, families, caregivers, educators, and other service providers. We are looking to hire and train engaging and highly motivated individuals to become behavior technicians to provide direct services to our clients, primarily children with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Every employee completes a rigorous training process of at least 40 hours. The position can be either part time or full time and we do not require employees to work on weekends.

The successful candidate will pass a local and federal criminal background check and demonstrate enthusiasm, reliability, excellent playing skills, and a desire for new learning. Please send a resume with your reply.

Location

This team member would work out of the Mountain State ABA office in Martinsburg, WV and in the homes of clients in Berkeley County and Jefferson County.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Behavior Technician will:

- Implement skill acquisition ABA services to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) under the routine supervision of a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA)

- Collect data based on observable behavior throughout sessions with clients

- Create material to be used in sessions

- Communicate session progress to caregivers and supervisors

Qualifications and skills

Required:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- 18 years old with valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle

- Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 6:00pm availability

- Ability to pass a state and federal criminal background check

Preferred:

- A bachelor’s degree in psychology, health care, human resources, or education

- Work experience related to psychology, health care, human resources, or education

- Experience working with children and excellent playing skills

- Good people skills and service oriented

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
