Job Description:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care for adult inpatients in a dedicated behavioral health unit. Perform initial psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and manage treatment plans. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in coordination with the care team.
- Collaborate daily with a fully staffed, multidisciplinary team including APPs, RNs, social workers, case managers, and other specialists.
- Participate in daily clinical rounds and contribute to patient-centered care discussions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.
- Work a consistent Monday Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with built-in flexibility based on provider needs. Share in weekend call coverage on a rotating 1:4 schedule. Option to pick up additional shifts for extra compensation if desired.
