Role Description

This is a temporary on-site role for a General Counselor located in Fishkill, NY. The General Counselor will be responsible for supervising children, leading recreational and educational activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of participants, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment. The counselor will also be expected to assist with conflict resolution, provide guidance, and support the overall camp program.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to lead recreational and educational activities
• Experience in supervising and engaging with children
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
• First aid and CPR certification is a plus
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Experience in youth development or related fields is beneficial
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education, social work, or related fields is a plus
