Minimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.
A licensed School Psychologist is needed for an elementary school setting to cover a leave of absence from August through October during the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position requires full-time availability, with a 37.5-hour workweek, providing essential psychological services to support student learning and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention strategies to assist students in overcoming academic and social challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide behavioral supports
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut School Psychologist license
- Experience working in elementary educational settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and educational teams
- Ability to perform thorough assessments and communicate findings clearly and compassionately
