Job Description

As a healthcare social worker, also called a medical social worker, you will help patients and their families cope with and recover from illness. Working at a hospital, nursing home, outpatient center, home health, or other healthcare facility, you will advocate for patients, helping them secure the resources they need. You'll collaborate with the care team and work with outside agencies to help fulfill patient needs. You'll play a critical role in preventing illness, promoting health and wellness, and educating patients and families.



Minimum Requirements

  • At least 1 year of recent acute care experience in specialty
  • ASN, ADN, BSN or MSN required
