School Social Worker Full-Time Verdi, NV

Sunbelt Staffing is currently hiring a compassionate and qualified School Social Worker (SSW) for a full-time, on-site position in a supportive school district located in Verdi, Nevada. This is a meaningful opportunity to support the emotional, behavioral, and social well-being of K12 students while helping to foster a safe, inclusive, and collaborative school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges

• Conduct assessments and collaborate with educators and families to create individualized intervention and support plans

• Contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans by offering social-emotional insights and strategies

• Act as a liaison between school, home, and community agencies to coordinate wraparound services for students

• Assist in crisis response and promote a positive, supportive school climate

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in accordance with Nevada state and district regulations

Qualifications:

• Valid Nevada School Social Worker License or eligibility for licensure through the Nevada Department of Education

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution

• Experience in school-based or youth mental health settings preferred

• Strong communication, collaboration, and case management skills

• Passion for equity, inclusion, and student advocacy

• Ability to effectively serve students from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
