Jersey City Public Schools is seeking a full-time School Psychologist to provide high-quality psychological services across a diverse K12 student population. This role is ideal for professionals committed to fostering student success through proactive assessment, consultation, and intervention.
Position Overview:
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will conduct evaluations, help shape educational plans, and support students emotional and behavioral well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete psychoeducational assessments and generate detailed reports
Assist with eligibility determinations and IEP development
Provide consultation to teachers and parents on learning and behavioral strategies
Participate in MTSS/RTI teams to drive early interventions
Offer counseling and crisis support as needed
Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
Required Qualifications:
Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
Valid New Jersey School Psychologist Certificate (DOE)
Familiarity with FBA, BIP, and IEP processes
Experience in a school-based setting preferred
Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Job Details:
Type: Full-time, onsite
Schedule: MondayFriday, standard school hours
Caseload: K12 (assignments determined by district needs)
