Position Summary
This Graduate Assistant position involves working in the Psychology department at Avila University. The position will be approximately 20 hours per week (for 8 credit hour tuition remission per semester) during the 2025-2026 academic year (both Spring and Fall) with the possibility of additional hours over Summer 2026.

This Graduate Assistant position involves working in the Psychology department at Avila University. Responsibilities:
- Assist with all psychology department operations
- Assist with department needs through communicating with university departments (e.g. maintenance/facilities, IT)
- Assist with feedback and grading for undergraduate student assignments
- Complete discrete tasks (e.g. copying, database searches, writing, coding, social media) for the department and/or faculty
- Be available inperson for 45 hours on 45 days per week during the day (midmorning through midafternoon preferred)
- Assist with Psi Chi/Psychology Club
- Maintain department common areas
- Errands on and off campus as needed
- Must be admitted and enrolled in a graduate program at Avila University. International students are not eligible for graduate assistantships.
- Enrolled in the MSCP program at Avila University
- Daytime availability (10 am 4 pm) to work inperson in the department at least four days per week Monday through Thursday
- Initiative to work on tasks or request tasks when there aren’t any immediate tasks to be done
- Work independently and efficiently on assigned tasks, providing updates regularly on progress
