Position Overview:
Helping Hands Community Support Services (HHCSS) is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor (LPC-S) to provide as-needed clinical supervision to LPC-Associates working in community and outpatient mental health settings. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who is passionate about mentoring early-career clinicians, maintaining clinical quality, and supporting documentation compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide weekly clinical supervision (individual and/or group) to assigned LPC-Associates in accordance with Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) requirements
- Review and provide feedback on clinical documentation including session notes, intakes, and treatment plans
- Support interns in developing clinical skills, ethical decision-making, and confidence in service delivery
- Maintain documentation of supervision sessions as required by licensing regulations
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director and HR to monitor intern progress and address any areas of concern
- Ensure supervisees are adhering to HHSC, Medicaid, and HHCSS documentation standards
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Texas LPC-S license in good standing
- Minimum of 3 years of post-licensure clinical experience in a mental health setting
- Previous experience supervising LPC-Associates is preferred
- Strong understanding of documentation standards for Medicaid-funded services
- Excellent communication, mentorship, and organizational skills
- Ability to provide virtual supervision using HIPAA-compliant platforms
Work Schedule & Compensation:
- As-needed, contract-based role
- Weekly supervision (1–2 hours) + additional time for documentation review
- Competitive hourly rate, based on experience and availability
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $28.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
