Part-Time Counselor
Reports To: Director of Operations
Hours: 20 Hours / Week
Qualifications:
- Licensed Counselor
- Previous ministry experience preferred
- Proven leadership skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling services for patients of the Refuge Clinic
- Facilitate and supervise counseling practicum students and interns with partnering universities, equipping students with positive experiences and professional development
- Work collaboratively with the Mental Health Director, Spiritual Care Coordinator and Leadership Team to create and implement spiritual and mental health development strategies and protocols for Refuge Clinic patients, volunteers and staff
- Train and oversee volunteer leaders for the Mental Health Team
General Responsibilities:
- Connect patients to counseling and mental health resources offsite, as appropriate
- Collaborate with the Patient & Community Advocate to assess the needs of patients and create opportunities for a healthy community
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
