Behavioral Health Counselor
Salary Range:
- Master's Level: $58,011 - $69,618 annually based on relevant years of experience
- Master's Licensed: $66,040 - $79,217 annually based on relevant years of experience
Location: Loveland, Colorado
- Status: Full Time (40 hours per week)
- Hours: Full Time (3 days per week with 1 night to close) (Monday - Friday)
Role Overview:
Join our dedicated team as a Behavioral Health Counselor! In this important role, you will be an integral part of our service delivery team, providing compassionate support to individuals facing behavioral health crises or requiring longer-term care. You will engage in risk assessments, crisis interventions, safety planning, and coordinate essential care for our clients. Your experience with Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) for substance use treatment will be invaluable as you help those in need.
Essential Duties:
- Facilitate an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Substance Use Disorders.
- Provide direct client care including behavioral health assessments, individual and group therapy, brief therapeutic interventions, and case management.
- Serve as a clinical resource for colleagues, assisting clinical staff, case managers, and medical providers.
- Collaborate with team members to plan, develop, and evaluate clinical services.
- Conduct behavioral health screenings and assessments within a medical clinic setting.
- Coordinate ongoing care with community agencies and resources.
- Deliver crisis interventions, including assessments and de-escalation techniques.
- Engage in clinical documentation and maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
- Support a positive team environment and foster collaboration among peers and clinical staff.
- Maintain excellent customer service by responding to inquiries promptly.
- Participate in committees and staff meetings as needed.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
NOTE: Candidates must be actively pursuing licensure and be willing to engage in the LAC track.

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution, and registered as a Candidate with DORA, working towards LPC, LCSW, or LMFT licensure.
- Minimum of one year of experience in the behavioral health field.
- Experience working with mild to severe mental health issues and substance use disorders.
- Experience facilitating an SUD IOP is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience facilitating a Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program is strongly preferred.
- Substance Use Disorder licensure (CAS or LAC) is preferred.
- Bilingual/bi-cultural candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
Some positions may require driving a company vehicle, for which a valid Colorado driver's license is necessary.
