Kona Medical Consulting is currently looking for Behavior Technician in Dearborn, MI area (in-home or a mutually agreed location).

The position will be under the Pediatric Behaviour Solutions, this is also open to all practicum students.

Below are the details of the position:

We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and enthusiastic Behavior Therapist for an 8-year-old boy who is full of curiosity and potential. He has diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and anxiety, and has experienced school-related trauma that has impacted his self-esteem. Despite these challenges, he is incredibly bright, curious, and eager to learn-especially when it comes to science, social studies, and topics like the Titanic, architecture, and design.

We are looking for someone who can:
  • Use positive reinforcement and praise-based strategies
  • Support emotional well-being and learning differences
  • Create engaging, low-pressure learning opportunities in reading, math, and writing
  • Help reignite confidence and a love of learning
  • Be a positive role model and nurturing presence

All necessary materials and suggested topics of focus will be provided-you'll be supported every step of the way.

  • Hours: 15-25 hours/week (flexible schedule)
  • Pay: Competitive hourly rate (to be discussed)
