About Job

Unrestricted license to practice as an independent practitioner in the state where the Job Corps Center is located; Licensed psychiatrist, clinical/counseling psychologist or clinical or psychiatric social worker with a minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed independent practitioner providing assessment and treatment services to adolescents and young adults.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•Effective verbal and written communication skills
•Knowledge of mental health issues of disadvantaged youth.
•Ability to relate to disadvantaged young adults (16-24 years old) and develop rapport with students and staff.
•Ability to make sound decisions.
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
•Ability to write reports, assessments, business correspondence, etc.
•Ability to effectively present information and to respond to questions from management, government representatives, and students.
•Strong assessment skills

Licenses or Certificates:

•A valid professional license in the state where the Center is located
•Certificate in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
•A valid Regular Driver License is required.
