Liberty Behavioral and Community Services is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LMFT) to join the team. As an LMFT at Liberty, you will play a pivotal role in delivering therapy to individuals and families facing a range of mental health and relational challenges, you will work closely with clients to develop treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and help clients achieve their goals in a safe and supportive environment. Your work will contribute to improving the quality of life for individuals and families in the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
•Provide Individual and Family Therapy: Deliver therapy services to individuals and families. You will help address any emotional, psychological, and relational challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions.
•Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Perform initial assessments and evaluations to understand client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
•Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement evidence - based treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client, regularly assessing and adjusting plans as necessary.
•Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate intervention and support for clients in crisis using de-escalation techniques and offering proper resources.
•Document Client Progress: Maintain correct and prompt clinical documentation in compliance with Liberty Behavioral and Community Services policies and state/federal regulations. This includes progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
•Collaborate with Multidisciplinary teams: Work closely with the Clinical Psychologist, BCBAs, case managers, and counselors, to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment for clients.
•Maintain Ethical Standards: Adhere to all relevant professional, ethical, and legal standards, including HIPAA confidentiality, as well as the guidelines set up by the American Association for marriage and Family therapy (AAMFT)
•Provide Psychoeducation: Educate clients and families on healthy coping strategies, communication skills, and relational dynamics to empower them to make positive changes.
•Community Engagement: Represent Liberty Behavioral and Community Services in a professional manner within the community and engage in outreach initiatives as needed.
Requirements
•Education: Master's degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
•Licensure: Active and valid Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in California.
•Experience: At least 2 years of clinical experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families. Experience working with diverse populations and various mental health issues, including trauma, addiction, relationship challenges, and emotional disorders.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience in community-based services or working with underserved populations.
•Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
