Position Summary
Provide continuity of assessment, case management and admission planning services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Participate as a team member in the delivery of addictions treatment services to clients and their families and facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or other related field, or equivalent experience
- Illinois Certified Addiction Counselor (CADC),or licensed in Illinois as a LSW or LPC which supersedes the CADC
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to quickly establish rapport
- Computer proficiency required
- Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic healthcare record
- Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the prescribed time frames
- Knowledge of accepted assessment techniques and admissions
- Knowledge of DSM diagnoses and appropriate criteria for each diagnosis
- Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance
Responsibilities
- Work hours prescribed and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
- Handle all First Contact calls and assess telephonically to determine appropriateness for treatment, level of care, and special needs.
- Schedule and conduct assessment interviews with potential clients and their significant others.
- Formulate initial diagnostic impression and appropriate recommendations for level of care placement.
- Provide case management and counseling services to assigned clients.
- Utilize intervention skills as required to place the client in the appropriate level of treatment services.
- Maintain knowledge of community, school and recovery resources in order to make appropriate interagency referrals as required.
- Provide networking, linkage and follow-up with referral sources.
- Maintain communications with all staff (e.g. assessments, admissions).
- Meet with all individuals being admitted to inpatient treatment and provide warm hand-off to admissions clinician whenever possible.
- Have Client Accounts Representative meet with the client if needed to discuss co-pay and get down payment when appropriate
- Confirm that client has medications and appropriate medical records needed for admission.
- Conduct pre-certification call for insurance if needed.
- Notify appropriate staff of client status during admissions process.
- Ensure that client health records are maintained consistent rules and regulations.
- Assume on-call responsibilities as scheduled or when necessary.
Schedule
Base Pay (based on experience, education, and credentials)
- Starting salary - Bachelors $43,908.80
- Starting salary- Masters $50,835.20
