Job Overview:
A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Associate Professional Counselor (APC) offers counseling services to clients experiencing a wide range of mental health issues. The LPC will utilize therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices to assist clients in achieving emotional well-being, developing coping strategies, and improving their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices
- Assess and diagnose mental health conditions
- Develop treatment plans tailored to each client's needs
- Implement therapeutic interventions, including dance therapy, to promote emotional well-being
- Provide telehealth services for remote clients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment
- Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, including medical terminology and coding according to ICD-10 guidelines
- Stay current with advancements in the field of counseling through continuing education and professional development
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling or related field
- Current state licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or (APC)
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Strong knowledge of clinical counseling techniques and best practices
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $44.00 - $50.00 per hour
