Job Duties:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

  • Complete Facility Manager additional training on the following topics;

o Interaction with the Department of Social Services and Regional Center staff, including inspection authority;

o Licensee appeal rights, and;

o Interaction with placement agencies, neighbors, mental health agencies, law enforcement, medical/emergency personnel, client family members.

  • Must maintain current certification in First Aid, CPR and N-CPI.
  • Must possess and present current criminal record clearance (Live Scan).
  • Must have experience with consumers with a dual diagnosis within context of the Mental Health Court, Criminal Court, and/or Probation Department.
  • Must have expertise in anger management, crisis management, leadership, and quality oversight.
  • Must have a health screening as specified in Section 80065(g).
  • Must have tuberculosis test documents as specified in Section 80065(g).
  • The ability to oversee consumer medication management. Demonstrates a knowledge regarding and the implementation of governmental laws, regulations, policies, and procedural standards for ARF.
  • Demonstrates an ability to plan, organize and implement health programs
  • Have the personal characteristics, physical energy, and competence, to provide care and supervision to adults.

  • Has and maintains a clean, well-groomed appearance.

  • Must be on the premises any time a resident is present.
  • Must manage and control the day-to-day operation of the facility and supervision of the residents.
  • Serve as the facility manager for the shift.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the home vehicle.
  • Schedule and plan group activities, special occasions, out of home activities, and transportation.
  • Documents (related forms), file and review all incident reports.
  • Attend management’s meetings, staff meetings, and conduct staff in-service training.
  • Handle tours of the home and conduct staff interviews, as needed.
  • Work closely with the direct care staff to assure a coordinated effort in maximizing the development of resident skills.
  • Support residents as necessary in acceptable behavior and other areas of training.
  • Assist staff in preparing progress notes and data, collection and reviewing them daily for accuracy.
  • Know client resident’s program and oversee their implementation.
  • Oversee the practice of consistent positive behavior management principles.
  • Assign staff specific duties, task, functions and responsibility.
  • Know each clients medical conditions and history.
  • Work directly with doctor and other medical and health specialists.
  • Responsible for medical documentation, storage and administration.
  • Document and report to the Administrator all incidents when they occur
  • Work with the Administrator to implement training staff and provide in-services.
  • Act as a member of Interdisciplinary Team and give accurate input on clients’ performance and progress.
  • Perform basic incidental treatment (e.g. Creams and lotions) as medically prescribed.
  • Ensure open lines of communication with staff, resident, families and regulatory agencies.
  • Complete Special Incident Reports and complete abuse reporting procedure as required by regulations.
  • Manage proper maintenance and rotation of all food and emergency supplies
  • Other duties as specified by Administrator/Alternate Administrator
