Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated psychiatrist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, skilled in both psychopharmacology and supportive therapy, and committed to developing tailored treatment plans. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collegial environment alongside experienced therapists and medical staff.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include psychotherapy and/or medication management
- Provide ongoing medication management with careful monitoring and adjustments
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term strategies
- Collaborate closely with therapists, case managers, and primary care providers to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Participate in case reviews and interdisciplinary team meetings as needed
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active license to practice medicine in Wisconsin (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience treating adults and older adults with depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and co-occurring conditions
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to care
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered treatment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a structured outpatient setting such as GOP, PHP or IOP
- Comfort providing supportive psychotherapy alongside medication management
- DEA certification with a Suboxone waiver (or willingness to obtain)
