NOW HIRING: Licensed Professional Counselor - Houston, TX location

The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) at Bright Beginnings Mental Health & Behavioral Solutions provides individual and group psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and adults.

As a critical member of the multidisciplinary team, the clinician will work amongst other mental health professionals to provide therapeutic, and behavioral interventions to our client population to include, brief crisis, and evidenced based interventions to serve the client needs and comprehensive care.

Key Job Duties:

  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy services
  • Provide brief intervention and crisis interventions as needed
  • Conduct client intake assessments
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Diagnose mental health conditions
  • Write and maintain clinical notes and keeps confidential client records
  • Make appropriate referrals for clients to include psychiatry
  • Obtain client records when needed· Respond to record request made to firm
  • Participate in active professional learning and development
  • Oversee case management duties as needed
  • Participate in case consultation and staffing with behavioral health professionals
  • Conduct CANs and ANs assessments
  • Participate in clinical supervision and seek peer consultation as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Experience/Qualifications:

(Preferred qualifications): Training or certification in EMDR, DBT, CBT, ACT, Substance Use counseling, and/or trauma informed care, or bilingual

  • Experience working with diverse culture, ethnic, and socio-economic groups
  • Strong knowledge in trauma informed care and evidenced based models
  • Ability to operate in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Canva
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices like CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and other behavioral modification techniques
  • Strong clinical and assessment skills, cultural competence, basic casework skills, supervisory skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively perform multitasking
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, staff, family support members, and stakeholders

Education/Certifications:·

Master’s or higher degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.

Licensure:

Current state licensure by the Texas State Board of Professional Counselors is required. (LPA, LPC, LCSW, LMFT)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
