Job Title: Substance Abuse Counselor (IOP & PHP)

Overview:
We are seeking licensed Substance Abuse Counselors to join our outpatient clinic in Chesapeake, VA, supporting adults in our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) programs. This role focuses on facilitating recovery through group and individual counseling, assessments, and collaborative care planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling to adult clients in IOP/PHP programs
• Facilitate therapy groups and individual sessions
• Complete assessments and contribute to treatment plans
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Deliver education on addiction, co-occurring disorders, and life skills

Qualifications:

• Active Virginia license (LPC, LCSW, CSAC, LSATP, CADC, or equivalent)
• Experience in substance use treatment preferred (IOP/PHP a plus)
• Recent graduates welcome (with valid license)
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• No nights, weekends, or on-call (subject to future change)

Work Environment:

• Outpatient, trauma-informed setting
• Adult population (18+)
• Approximate 10:1 patient-to-staff ratio

Interview Process:

• Single round with feedback within 72 hours

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
