Essential Functions
- Coordinates, creates, and monitors resident behavior treatment plans.
- Debriefs BSLS staff and clients.
- Completes Modified FAST assessments as directed.
- Provides clinical services to BSLS clients according to the scope(s) of practice assigned.
- Responds to crisis situations.
- Evaluates causes and implements changes strategies when adverse incidents occur.
- Provides clinical support to Beacon Specialized Living Homes.
- Face to face contact with clients.
- Participates in performance improvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
- Adheres to BSLS Core Values, Mission Statement, and Corporate Philosophies.
- Performs On-Call as required.
- Travel required: 20-50% of the time.
Developing and Maintaining Portfolio Operating Standards
- Manage state and local relationships with regulators that refer consumers to Beacon.
- Ensure that our activities and programs will enrich the resident’s social, emotional, mental and physical needs as well as increase their home involvement and independent living skills.
- Maintain confidential (HIPAA compliant), accurate, and appropriate records for each resident, prospective resident and employee of Beacon.
- Comply with all state and federal laws and regulations and all company rules regarding the care of the residents and operation of our homes.
- Conduct on-site training for home managers, program managers and direct care staff, and assist sites with employee training tracking as needed.
- Build positive relationships with CMH and other government agencies, and assist in coordinating resident move-ins, as needed.
- Assist with resident abuse and neglect assessment issues and communicate findings with home manager, compliance, clinical and operations’ leadership.
- Perform other duties that may be set by the company.
- Complete all assigned duties recognizing that they may change from time-to-time according to resident needs, staffing levels, working circumstances and company strategy
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a clinical discipline required.
- Valid BCBA certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience, may include practicum and internship experience.
- Experience in high behaviors
- Experience with both mentally ill and intellectually disabled adult populations is preferred. Experience with geriatric populations is a plus.
- Experience with MO-DMH, IDD programming with attention on ISL services, preferred.
- Experience with complex, high intense / high frequency behaviors is required.
- Approved by state, federal and government entities to work within BSLS programs.
- Experience using electronic record systems (ERS) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and orally.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Proficient in speaking, writing and reading the English language.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
