Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Addiction Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. You will work closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, facilitate group therapy sessions, and offer ongoing support as they navigate their recovery journey. Your commitment to care and understanding of addiction will play a vital role in helping clients achieve lasting change.

Duties

  • Conduct assessments to determine the needs and challenges of clients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client assessments.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and shared experiences.
  • Provide direct support and guidance to clients in both individual and group settings.
  • Assist clients in developing coping strategies and life skills necessary for recovery.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery processes, and available resources.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in caregiving or direct support roles, particularly within home community care or group home settings.
  • Strong understanding of behavior management systems related to addiction treatment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of first aid practices is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • A compassionate approach towards individuals facing addiction challenges.
  • Relevant certifications or degrees in counseling, psychology, social work, or related fields are advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,391.00 - $49,096.00 per year
