An opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support early childhood students in a dynamic preschool setting located in Lacey, WA. This contract role spans the 2025-2026 school year, providing full-time services focused on children aged 3 to 5 years. The position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact by working closely with young learners as they enter formative educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct developmental screenings and psychoeducational evaluations for preschool-aged children.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop individualized plans for special services.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to meet changing needs in a continuously enrolling early learning center.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide consultation and support to staff and caregivers regarding behavioral and developmental concerns.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working with early childhood populations, ideally ages 3-5.
  • Strong knowledge of developmental screening tools and special education processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and families.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of up to 140 students over the course of the school year.

Location:

  • Lacey, Washington
  • Early Learning Center environment focused on preschool education.

Schedule & Term:

  • Approximately September 2, 2025, through June 12, 2026
  • Full-time, 35 hours per week, 7 hours per day, 5 days per week
