Fayette County Public Schools is seeking a full-time School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services to students across multiple grade levels. This role involves assessments, intervention planning, and collaborative support to ensure students emotional and academic needs are met in a school-based setting.
Position Summary:
The School Psychologist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess learning and behavioral needs, contribute to the IEP process, and consult with teachers and families to support positive student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments and evaluations
Interpret data and provide recommendations for IEP eligibility
Support development of behavior plans and intervention strategies
Participate in IEP and RTI/MTSS meetings
Provide short-term counseling and crisis support as needed
Consult with educators and families regarding student progress
Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with district guidelines
Required Qualifications:
Masters or Ed.S. in School Psychology
Valid Georgia PSC Certification in School Psychology
Experience in school-based settings preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with IDEA and state-specific evaluation requirements
Job Details:
Type: Full-time, onsite
Schedule: MondayFriday, during school hours
Caseload: K12 students (varies by assignment)
