Part -Time Licensed Psychologists

Montefiore’s Pediatric Behavioral Health Integration Program (BHIP) is seeking licensed psychologists (PhD/PsyD) for an exciting Part-Time career opportunity.

We also welcome applications from candidates holding a PhD with a limited permit.

Work alongside an incredible staff of pediatricians, pediatric residents, psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers in our integrated behavioral health program in the Bronx.

The ideal candidate will have pediatric lifespan experience.

Successful applicants will be part of a large integrated behavioral health team and work in-person and via telehealth on site to provide screening, assessment and evidence-based interventions to primary care patients aged birth – 21 years; provide education of pediatricians and pediatric residents; facilitate referrals into the community, as needed.

As a major teaching hospital, Montefiore Medical Center offers successful candidates access to a wealth of educational opportunities and potential for faculty appointment.

Employment provides potential eligibility for:

  • An academic appointment at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
  • Student loan repayment programs ranging from $25,000-$50,000 for 2 years of service at some practice sites.

The ideal candidate

  • Licensed or license eligible (successful applicants would need to be licensed prior to start date) psychologist in NY State.
  • Experience working with parents and families, including assessment of parent-child relationships and family systems, and providing individual, family, and group treatment.
  • Experience assessing the growth and development of infants and young children.
  • Experience with evidence-based interventions for school-age and adolescent behavioral health.
  • Flexibility to work in various capacities on an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to establish collaborative relationships with a wide range of colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly and to think reflectively about work and professional role.
  • Experience working in a medical setting or with health professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of APA-accredited training.
  • Adept at working in an environment that encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork.
  • Desire to work in a mission-driven environment to make a strong positive community impact.
  • Positions are full-time (9 AM – 5 PM).
