We are seeking a compassionate Addiction/Mental Health Counselor to join our growing team. Responsibilities

  • Help to build recovery-positive culture within our health center and the community.
  • Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized treatment plans related to addiction and co-occurring mental health challenges.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence based approaches.
  • Manage files and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Implement crisis management techniques to assist clients in acute situations.
  • Facilitate and/or arrange educational workshops on addiction, coping strategies, and relapse prevention.
  • Co-create complementary programs and adjunct modalities of treatment with our clinical team in our new community center.
  • Engage in ongoing research to stay updated on best practices in addiction treatment.
  • Document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and outcomes.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field.
  • Active Master's level Maryland licensure (LCPC, LCADC, LCSW-C)
  • Experience in clinical counseling and addiction medicine.
  • Experience in group therapy facilitation, preferred.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
