Responsibilities
- Help to build recovery-positive culture within our health center and the community.
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized treatment plans related to addiction and co-occurring mental health challenges.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence based approaches.
- Manage files and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Implement crisis management techniques to assist clients in acute situations.
- Facilitate and/or arrange educational workshops on addiction, coping strategies, and relapse prevention.
- Co-create complementary programs and adjunct modalities of treatment with our clinical team in our new community center.
- Engage in ongoing research to stay updated on best practices in addiction treatment.
- Document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and outcomes.
Experience/Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field.
- Active Master's level Maryland licensure (LCPC, LCADC, LCSW-C)
- Experience in clinical counseling and addiction medicine.
- Experience in group therapy facilitation, preferred.
