Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, we humbly welcome you to the San Mateo-Foster City School District! We are committed to creating a strong sense of belonging and aim to hire an exceptionally diverse workforce that reflects the students and families in our community.
Our district educates approximately 10,500 students (representing 50 languages) in preschool through eighth grades in 22 outstanding schools. Our family of schools includes three middle schools (Grades 6-8), fifteen elementary schools (TK/K-5), three schools with all grades (K-8), and one Early Education Center. We also have preschools co-located at our six elementary sites. We have various theme based schools: Montessori, Immersion (Spanish and Mandarin), and STEM.
ACHIEVEMENT GOAL: Create learning opportunities for ALL Pre-K through 8th students resulting in closing the achievement gap and culminating in personal and academic success in high school and beyond.
EQUITY GOAL: Reduce inequitable outcomes for ALL students and staff by prioritizing equity, access, and inclusion.
WELLNESS GOAL: Provide a safe, caring, nurturing, and culturally responsive environment for all students to meet the needs of the whole child.

The San Mateo-Foster City School District operates 22 elementary and middle schools with approximately 12,500 students. The district serves a total population of over 100,000 in the cities of San Mateo and Foster City. The district is located on the San Francisco peninsula, 19 miles south of San Francisco just north of the Silicon Valley. Its mild climate and ideal location make it an attractive place in which to live and work. Primarily residential, San Mateo and Foster City are community-minded cities with a reputation for excellent elementary and middle schools.
