This role involves providing supportive advocacy to patients and families as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team to address barriers to care and ensure safe, coordinated discharges.
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Leisure Studies with an emphasis on recreational therapy or CTRS certification.
- Experience in mental health or with specific age groups is preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt in a changing environment.
- Must demonstrate initiative, responsibility, and flexibility, with the ability to understand research and utilize computer applications effectively.
- Ability to write clear documentation and make routine decisions per departmental policies is required.
- Certification requirements include obtaining BLS within 90 days; CTRS is preferred.
