POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Manager plans and coordinates the HR administrative functions for business needs and contractual obligations. This position is directly responsible for the following functional areas: employee relations, benefits, recruitment, employment law compliance, safety and delivery and execution of policies and procedures. The Human Resources Manager must lead by example, adhering to all policies and procedures contained in the manuals issued by VitalCore Health Strategies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain knowledge of state and federal legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Assist with payroll process, tracking overtime, and ensuring scheduling compliance, as needed.
- Understands and follows company and legal pay rule guidelines.
- Oversee regional recruitment processes, interviews, tests, and assist in selection of candidates.
- Ensure new employee orientation is planned and conducted to for positive attitude toward company goals.
- Maintain benefit plan information within the company benefits guide and provide assistance to employees who need help in navigating benefit changes or issues.
- Conducts HR and Safety Training for management and associates, as needed.
- Advises management in appropriate resolution for employee relations issues in collaboration with the corporate office and COO.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assist with communication and coordination of all employee leave cases with site or regional management and corporate Leaves Coordinator.
- Coordinate with Leaves Coordinator and provide reports for insurance carrier, as needed.
- Conduct wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
- Travel to and visit facilities within the region.
- Assists leadership with progressive disciplinary actions and other HR related forms for addressing problem resolution.
- Monitors and provides guidance for employee counseling, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Advises management regarding hiring decisions, equal employment opportunity, compensation, benefits, and health/safety issues.
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Verifies employee personnel files to ensure federal and state compliance, complete reference check, criminal background check, and professional license check.
- Attend training and meetings as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human resources, or other comparable degree required.
- Must have three years of experience leading human resources in a healthcare organization.
- Experience and/or certification in employee mediations a plus.
- SHRM certification preferred.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and Outlook.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is primarily in an office environment. Individual is required to perform standing, walking or lifting in this position as needed for tours and audits of facilities.
Compensation details: 135000-145000 Yearly Salary
