The Hospice Art Therapist provides compassionate, individualized art therapy to patients and families in hospice care to promote emotional expression, coping, and quality of life.

• Offers creative, tailored therapy sessions in home or facility settings, supporting grief and life review through therapeutic art techniques.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to integrate art therapy into overall care plans and documents patient responses per standards.
• Educates families on therapy benefits, maintains confidentiality, and manages supplies following infection control protocols.
• Travels regularly across assigned areas, working independently and adapting to diverse environments.
• Requires a Master’s in Art Therapy or related field, with preferred ATR/ATR-BC certification, Ohio licensure, and at least one year of experience, preferably in hospice or medical settings.
• Must have strong communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and physical/emotional resilience for end-of-life care environments.
