Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide mental health support and guidance to individuals. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral health, diagnostic evaluation, and effective counseling techniques. The Counselor will work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs.
Provide mental health counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, focusing on children and those with autism.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with relevant regulations.
Utilize ICD-9 coding for proper diagnosis and treatment planning.
Offer direct support to clients, helping them navigate challenges related to behavioral health.
Address gender issues through counseling, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate care and support for clients.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance counseling skills.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
LPCC , LCSW, LISW, LISW-S
Proven experience in mental health counseling, particularly with children or individuals with autism.
Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques and behavioral health practices.
Familiarity with medical records management and ICD-9 coding is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compassionate approach with a commitment to client-centered care.
Certification or licensure as required by state regulations is preferred.
