Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide mental health support and guidance to individuals. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral health, diagnostic evaluation, and effective counseling techniques. The Counselor will work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs.
- Provide mental health counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, focusing on children and those with autism.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Utilize ICD-9 coding for proper diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Offer direct support to clients, helping them navigate challenges related to behavioral health.
- Address gender issues through counseling, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
- Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate care and support for clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance counseling skills.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- LPCC , LCSW, LISW, LISW-S
- Proven experience in mental health counseling, particularly with children or individuals with autism.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques and behavioral health practices.
- Familiarity with medical records management and ICD-9 coding is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to client-centered care.
- Certification or licensure as required by state regulations is preferred.

Pay: $30.00 - $42.50 per hour
