About Job
- Plan, schedule and provide weekly early educational in-home services for a caseload of infant/toddlers with disabilities including developmental delays and programs for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.
- Administer and document all program assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines.
- Design, implement, and adapt activities for language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development, for each individual child, utilizing best practices.
- Model effective adult-child interactions and provide written information on parenting, child development, and provide parents/guardians with written weekly activities and effective coaching.
- Monitor, document, and share the child’s progress with the family and team.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- May be able to count years of experience working with children in place of Bachelor's degree; must have HS diploma or equivalent.
- Some coursework in Early Childhood education or Human Development is highly desired
- One year experience working/volunteering with infants or young children and their parents/guardians
- *if candidate has Bachelor's degree experience may not be required
- Valid CA driver’s license in good standing; also must have been licensed driver for at least one year (in any US state)
- Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills to manage relationships a compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you do
- Flexible availability including some evenings and weekend times as needed (need to be available generally when the parents/guardians are available so could be during the day, in the evening, or on a weekend day)
- Willing and able to drive to homes of program participants; working environment is in-home setting with the children and their parents/guardians
- Part-time (about 20-25 hrs/week average) to start - can build up caseload to full time
