Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals that are dually diagnosed with behavioral health challenges and intellectual disability in a community home setting, providing support at either 2:1 or 2:2 staffing ratio. This role is essential in promoting positive behavioral changes and enhancing the quality of life for clients.

NE Philadelphia :
Mon., Wed., Fri., Sat 7a-3p
Sun, Thurs., Fri. 3p-11p
Sun- Sat 11p-7a
Upper Darby, PA:
Sun- Sat 3p-11p
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior support plans as directed by supervisors.
- Collect and record data on client behaviors to monitor progress and effectiveness of interventions.
- Assist residents in developing skills for daily living and social interactions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and educators, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide patient care with empathy and respect, ensuring a safe environment for all clients.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to special education and working with individuals with disabilities.
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
- Proficient in data collection methods and analysis to track client progress.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation, and record-keeping practices.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations under guidance, ensuring accurate assessments of client needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions.
