Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) to join our growing team. The role involves delivering individualized, music-centered therapeutic services in clients home and tele-health. While six months of relevant experience is preferred, recent graduates with a background in developmental disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one music therapy sessions tailored to meet each child's developmental and emotional needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify goals and strengths, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Use music therapy techniques to improve communication, motor function, emotional regulation, and cognitive skills.
  • Collaborate with families and provide strategies for incorporating music therapy into everyday routines.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including session notes and progress reports, in line with clinic protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Active MT-BC certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of all AMTA-required coursework, including a 6-month internship and pre-clinical hours.
  • Preferred experience working with children with developmental needs (especially ASD) in clinical or educational settings.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, compassionate, and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Required:
  • Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • CPR / First Aid / Article 9 certification
  • Professional Liability Insurance
