POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of the Part-time Admissions Counselor is to support the Admissions Office in performing daily duties when it comes to student recruitment. This position will promote Mid-America Christian University by hosting campus tours, providing college information sessions, and supporting on-campus events. The Part-time Admissions Counselor will be responsible for supporting recruitment efforts within the Oklahoma City metro, including but not limited to Oklahoma City Public Schools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading Campus Tours
- Hispanic student recruitment initiatives
- Processing student applications for acceptance
- Setting enrollment appointments
- High school presentations
- School lunch visits
- Call, text, and email prospective students
- Occasional office duties (i.e,. filing, mailing, answering calls)
- Attend community recruiting events
- Assist in planning annual events
- All other duties as assigned by the team
QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree is required for this position. Familiarity with the MACU campus is preferred, but not required. Proper phone etiquette. Good social and verbal skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor's degree is required. Experience working with Salesforce or familiarity with a CRM tool. Good communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient in using social media platforms. Proficient in Google, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Can lift up to 25 pounds if needed, standing for long periods of time, walking, stooping, lifting, and carrying.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Flexible, fun, and energetic personality, positive, creative atmosphere. Must be able to work in a multi-person office space. Must be a positive person who can handle conflict resolution and guidance over the phone.
