Behavior Technician Job description
The Behavior Technician begins as a part-time position, with essential availability needed between 3pm - 7:30pm at least 2 days weekly. Daytime hours are also available between 8:30-3:45. The schedule can increase to full-time over 3 months, per technician availability. This person provides positive behavioral guidance and implements therapeutic program to help individuals with autism gain adaptive life skills and increase functional communication. Services occur in early learning, education, in day treatment program for individuals of all ages with autism and other neuro-developmental abilities, as well in home. The behavior technician implements behavior change programs, as directed by Licensed Behavior Analysts. The position works closely with therapists, students, clients, and other behavior technicians. We are a service-driven non-profit providing behavioral health, mental health services, and educational support services.
Behavior Technician Job Responsibilities:
- Implement positive behavioral guidance, and behavior change strategies, as specified by BCBA.
- Maintain records and data, as relevant and specified by program manager and/or therapists
- Organizing program materials for client's lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents and other observations
- Adapt lesson plan and implement weekly activities to implement in group sessions in the areas of developmentally appropriate educational support, social and emotional learning, adaptive fitness, and sensory play and engagement, to meet the needs of assigned clients.
- Provide physical and emotional safety for clients and students in programs.
- Provide hygiene and toileting assistance, as specified in support plans
- Attend on-going training, as relevant and necessary to position.

- Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills
- 1 years of direct experience working with children under 13
- 1 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a background clearance.
- Ability to meet state-specific requirements; FA/CPR within 45 days of hire, Mandated Reporter, Cleared TB; RBT training complete within 30 days of hire
