Strive Center For Autism in Brighton, MI is looking for one Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our 25 person strong team. We have locations in Brighton and Burton. Our ideal candidate is an experienced BCBA who is ready to make meaningful differences for children while enjoying a work-life balance.
Our center-based ABA programs provide services primarily to children ages 2-10.

Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable of ABA, behavior management and support strategies, and able to model these programs in applied settings
- Responsible for conducting skill and behavioral assessments
- Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments and develop Behavior Plans
- Complete behavioral skills assessments utilizing the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP), Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS), Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills – Revised (ABLLS-R), or the Essential for Living (EFL)
- Complete screening appointments for prospective clients
- Upon hire, will complete background check, fingerprints, CPR and First Aid training
- Must possess a license in the state of Michigan for the coordinating degree and maintain license throughout employment
- Must possess BCBA certification and maintain certification throughout employment
- Assist in recruitment and retention of staff and clients; adjust staffing to meet changing demands for services
- Conduct tours for prospective clients or other service providers
- Must have managerial skills to assist in coordinating and supervising of staff while maintaining a level of respect and professionalism
- Coordinate scheduling with Office Manager or other Leadership Team members
- Respond to emails and phone calls daily
- May be responsible for visiting other sites, as part of continuous quality improvement or to consult on a case
- Coordinate with outside providers as needed for each client
- Must be able to interact with families and clients on a compassionate yet professional level
- Manage day to day operations in a center-based program
- Develop treatment protocols/ intensive ABA programs to be incorporated in the Individualized Plan of Services (IPOS)
- Train staff and parents in implementation of ABA programs
- Collect and summarize data on an ongoing basis. Generate summary reports of progress in ABA programs at least 1 time per quarter.
- Complete billing entries and appropriate notes weekly for all billable hours
- Organize schedule to provide required level of supervision for all cases, and to meet requirements for parent training.
- Encourage parents to meet weekly for parent training and update on client progress.
- Provide regular supervision to ABA therapist/clinicians (both direct/live supervision as well as indirect supervision).
- Participate in Leadership Team meetings and BCBA meetings
- Participate in Staff meetings with assigned team; may be required to lead these meetings
- Implement policies in Strive Center’s Employee Handbook; may be required to provide correction or disciplinary action toward supervisees
- Ensure cleanliness/professional presentation of building/work area
- Represent ABA and the Strive Center professionally in the community and to potential clients
- Work with Leadership Team to develop plans for Professional Development days throughout the year
- Maintain availability to the Strive Center team during scheduled work hours, primarily in person, sometimes remotely.
- Cover for therapist absences as needed

Qualifications
- Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (up to $750 stipend provided annually for Continuing Education requirements)
- Current licensure as Licensed Behavior Analyst in the State of Michigan
- Possession of a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field (as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board)
- Experience working with children with ASD preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a BCBA
- Ability to interact professionally with parents and team members
- Ability to multi-task; maintaining a wide variety of tasks including keeping paperwork up to date, maintaining behavioral and skill acquisition programming for assigned caseload, supervising ABA Therapists, participating in Leadership Team meetings
- Great written and oral communication skills
- Completion of Crisis Management Training with first 180 days of employment
- High level of organizational skills
- Ability to train Strive Center staff on skill acquisition and behavioral programming
Physical Demands and Work Environment
In order to successfully perform the essential duties of this job, the employee must be able to meet the following physical demands:
- Occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds
- Complete all requirements for Professional Crisis Management Association training as a Practitioner
- Stand and walk frequently
- Move quickly to keep up with small children
- Play actively
- Push children (weighing up to 150 pounds) on a swing
- Sit on a stool or chair for up to 30 minutes at a time
- Sit on the floor for up to 30 minutes at a time
- Get up from the floor quickly
- Withstand all demands presented by outside weather conditions at any time of the year
- Withstand a moderate noise level
- Complete close visual activity on a computer screen
