The Care Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and efficient care throughout their healthcare journey. Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments, follow-ups, and referrals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans and any necessary information.
- Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorizations as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient transitions between services.
- Provide administrative support within the medical office, including answering phones and managing correspondence.
- Educate patients about available services, procedures, and health resources.
Skills
- Experience working in a dental office or medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and staff alike.
- Familiarity with medical administrative support functions, including scheduling and record management.
