Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Residential Counselor to join our Adult Residential Treatment Facility in Tacoma Washington.

Scope

Park Place Residential Center provides individual treatment and recovery services for adults with serious mental illness and who are in need of daily supportive services.


Park Place’s services include therapy, psychiatry, counseling groups, case management, peer support, transitional living services, independent living development, substance use support services, and community and life skill building.

Residential counselors provide residential services to adults with serious mental illness. They facilitate the community adjustment of clients at high risk for institutionalization. They serve as members of an organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide services and activities for residential consumers that enhance self-care skills, independence, social skills, and self-reliance.
  • Provide activities designed to enhance community and milieu adjustment.
  • Provide clinical treatment supportive services for clinical staff.
  • Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.
  • Participate in meetings and activities as required.
  • Coordinate activities with other team members and other staff.
  • May be required to work evenings and/or weekends depending upon program needs.
  • As requested, walk the facility to complete rounds
  • In addition to the above, perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate, GED or equivalent experience
  • WA State credential/license.
  • Knowledgeable about Microsoft Office products
