We are seeking experienced BCBA for our inclusion-based center. Job responsibilities include:

  • Collaboration with staff, director support, related service providers, and families to ensure highest level of programming.
  • Attends all relevant meeting for clients or staff, including weekly meetings with classroom head teacher, monthly meetings with related services providers, weekly classroom meetings, regular BCBA/Director meetings, and trainings provided by the leadership team.
  • Providing formal and informal assessments regularly to identify client’s needs.
  • Identify goals based on assessment results, observation, and in line developmentally with the child’s current progress.
  • Understands both discrete trial training (DTT) and natural environment teaching (NET) and can identify for each client what teaching style best supports their learning.
  • Develop teaching targets with specific instructional notes to support each goal.
  • Supervision and training of staff to ensure program goals are being implemented accurately across all children and settings.
  • Evaluate effectiveness and social significance of the implemented treatment plan and modify the plan when necessary.
  • Identifying stalled or descending trends or programs that are not being run correctly.
  • Conduct functional analysis for all targeted interfering behaviors and develop a behavior intervention plan.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with staff including providing both positive and corrective feedback.
  • Following up with staff members to ensure feedback is followed through.
  • Completes new staff training checklist and performance reviews according to the performance review schedule.
  • Provides adequate supervision for RBTs and technicians in program acquiring hours.
  • Know each of the different billing codes and ensure you are billing appropriately.
  • Meeting weekly minimum billing requirement of 30 hours per week.
  • Completing monthly parent training sessions per family.
  • Schedule conferences every 6 months (November and March) with families.
  • Email parents every other Friday communicating overall program updates and success as well as any changes or modifications that have been made.
  • Prepares and submit all assessment and reauthorization paperwork on time.
  • Builds relationship with daycare/preschool partners and adheres to daycare or preschool specific needs (paperwork, etc.).
  • Provide direct therapy service as needed or scheduling requires.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and timeliness in reporting emergencies and injuries according to Hand Over Hand policies and procedures.
  • React appropriately and professionally in crisis situation.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in the areas of physical appearance, use of language, providing feedback, and receiving feedback.
  • Obtain and maintain crisis intervention training certification.
  • Performs other duties as requested/assigned.
