Job Summary

The School Psychologist will be responsible for providing psychological services to students, families, and school staff to support the academic and social-emotional success of all students. This is a part time opportunity (3 days a week) as replacement for the current school year and may continue for the new school year as well.

Duties

  • Conduct psychological testing and assessments to evaluate students' needs
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop intervention strategies for students
  • Assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Conduct crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and interventions

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
  • CA State license or certification as a School Psychologist (PPS Credentials)
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of psychological principles, theories, and practices related to child development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with school staff, students, and families
  • Ability to conduct assessments, interpret data, and make recommendations based on findings
  • Familiarity with special education laws and regulations
