Parent Peer Support Specialist

Our Parent Peer Support Specialist (serving Butler Counties) provides support to caregivers with children that have behavioral health challenges, and/or, mental health diagnosis within the community in a team approach. This support includes one-on-one consultation to identify goals for caregivers and walk alongside them as they navigate systems of care.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize shared lived experience with caregivers
- Work with a clinical team to engage caregivers in recommended services
- Serve as a liaison and advocate for caregivers in need of peer support with the Mobile Response Stabilization Services team (MRSS)
- Build and maintain relationships and good communication with other service providers and supports in the community
Requirements:
- Experience as a caregiver for a child with behavioral health challenges and/or mental health diagnosis(es)
- High School Diploma required
- Strong communication and engagement skills
- Ability to drive to other work locations and within the community
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and auto insurance required
- Flexible schedule with evening availability
The Parent Peer Support Specialist position is a fullt-time (20 hours a week), hourly non-exempt position.
