Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop treatment plans
- Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals in acute distress
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to promote behavior change and self-empowerment
- Implement applied behavior analysis strategies to address specific behavioral issues
- Incorporate dance therapy as a therapeutic modality to enhance emotional expression and body awareness
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Collaborate with social workers, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy
- Manage crises effectively and implement appropriate interventions
Requirements:
- Master's degree in mental health counseling, social work, or a related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as a mental health therapist
- Experience in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans
- Proficiency in crisis management techniques and interventions
- Knowledge of motivational interviewing principles and techniques
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis strategies for behavior modification
- Training or certification in dance therapy is preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
