About Job

General Statement of Duties: Reports to the Director of Outreach Services.

Responsible for outreach program development and providing comprehensive victim services.

Functions:

Provides person centered, trauma informed, and empowerment based services to victims in concert with the goals of the program; identifies and educates potential clients and referral sources which requires:

Demonstrated experience in human services, case management, or related field

Ability to handle extensive case load, with clients having varying levels of need

Bachelor’s Degree required

f. Excellent public and private speaking skills

g. Demonstrated ability to work successfully with culturally and socioeconomically diverse populations

h. Ability to manage time effectively and organize work

Building relationships with community resources, developing and evaluating professional and community based programs:

a. Applied knowledge of available community programs and resources

b. Maintains relationships with community programs to keep real time resource knowledge

c. Effective presentation skills

d. Confidence and emotional maturity

e. Goal oriented and outcome driven

f. Ability to build relationships with community partners to offer programs and services to meet the needs of clients

g. Applied knowledge of eligibility criteria for other community funds and resources

h. Ability to identify and implement processes to improve quality

Identifies, coordinates and collaborates with other community services to facilitate the delivery of services to meet the needs of clients and their families which requires:

Demonstrated ability in Bio-psychosocial Assessment and Interviewing skills to determine needs of individuals and families

Effective critical thinking skills

Ability to calm and deescalate intense situations using crisis management skills to navigate emotionally charged interactions with clients and families

Applied knowledge of eligibility criteria to ensure appropriate and timely referrals to appropriate resources.

Ability to meet the needs of the program which requires:

Ability to drive / sit for extended durations in travel to deliver services to all service areas

i. Access to a vehicle

ii. Valid driver’s license with good driving record

b. Flexibility of schedule during non-traditional working hours which may include evenings / weekends

c. Ability to provide monthly, regularly scheduled, on-call hotline coverage

d. The ability to lift, push, pull or move presentation equipment, supplies, etc. in excess of 50 pounds with or without the use of adaptive/assistive devices

e. Sight, hearing and manual dexterity to function with or without prosthetics use that will enable these senses to function adequately to fulfill the requirements of the job.

f. The ability to negotiate level and unleveled surfaces with or without the use of assistive devices

5. Ability to identify and support outcome evaluations

a. Demonstrated ability to develop program evaluations to assess the effectiveness of a program

b. Ability to understand and correlate data and statistics

c. The ability to track client numbers and produce those to outside agencies and community members

Fulfills other job duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
