Compensation: $18/hour
Work Time: Flexible, 20 hours/week, on-campus or from home

Position Summary

The admissions counselor builds relationships with prospective students and guides them through the admissions process. The Admissions Counselor may work with non- degree, undergraduate, masters-level, or doctoral students to help them become students at WBS. The position requires a high level of phone calls, text messages, and emails.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the admissions process for individual students, including communicating information, tracking documents, updating files, and onboarding accepted students.
  • Build relationships with prospective students and be the primary WBS representative with whom they interact.
  • Efficiently help students complete the various steps of the application process.
  • Work within the system that has been set up to recruit students, while maximizing its effectiveness with a personal touch.
  • Be a team player who helps meet the overall enrollment goals under the leadership of the director of admissions

Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in marketing, school admissions, sales, or customer service preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to effectively work on a team
  • Well-developed work ethic with the ability to independently organize and prioritize work with little supervision
